Lidtke L-Tryptophan Complete TM uses the same IV medical-grade, L-Tryptophan found in all our L-Tryptophan products.
L-Tryptophan Complete TM also contains significant amounts of essential cofactors, coenzymes and newly-understood ingredients that are known to modulate L-Tryptophan pathways.
Lidtke Technologies was founded in 1994 to provide rare and extremely high-quality nutrients to medical doctors, naturopaths, veterinarians, and alternative health practitioners throughout the country.
Due to the emergence of the internet, word of Lidtke products spread to the general public, and we now supply both health practitioners and the general public in the United States and in over twenty-five other countries.

It is well-known that European pharmaceutical standards for L-Tryptophan are far higher than U.S. or Japanese standards. The Europeans take safety seriously, as we do at Lidtke. The European standard not only demands testing for known-toxins that are ignored in the U.S. and Japan, but European standards have much lower limits on contaminants, overall.
Although many products claim to meet pharmaceutical standards, clearly not all pharmaceutical standards are the same - not even close. From our beginning sixteen years ago, it has been our crusade to meet the highest standards in the world. We question everything, and we look beneath the surface. The world changes, and it takes work to keep up. That is our job: to stand between you, our customer, and the nearly incomprehensible chaos of the nutrition world, and to look out for your interests, your health and your safety.
Although L-Tryptophan first became available over forty years ago, researchers now are focusing on the fact that both genetic and dietary deficiencies can block your proper metabolism of nutrients, including L-Tryptophan. If you have ever wondered why supplements sometimes don't work, this may be one important cause.
Just as explorers map trails through the wilderness, medical researchers map the biochemical pathways that amino acids follow while doing their job in your body. There are many pathways in the metabolism of L-Tryptophan, and each step in a pathway is controlled by an enzyme.
These enzymes are the product of your individual genetic expression and can vary greatly from one person to another. Unlike digestive enzymes, though, you cannot simply take cellular enzymes in a capsule.
Furthermore, cellular enzymes cannot work alone. Enzymes are as useless as a car without wheels if they lack critical coenzymes and cofactors that make them run. Coenzymes typically are the enzymatic-forms of vitamins, such as pyridoxal 5-phosphate (the true form of vitamin B6), but sometimes coenzymes are biochemicals few people have even heard of. Yet, they are essential to life.
The concept here is simple: Lidtke seeks to ensure that every bit of L-Tryptophan you take produces and sustains serotonin, so you get the benefits you expect. To accomplish this, our job has been to identify the most critical coenzymes and cofactors and logically combine them in a single formula. This careful combining of the right tools for the right job is what your cellular enzymes need to do their job, in the natural way your body was designed.
L-Tryptophan Complete was first inspired nearly eight years ago by the fact that many peoples around the Earth are so poorly nourished they may fail to get proper benefit from the food or supplements that they do receive. Donations of products to starving nations can be wasted for lack of a single nutrient.
Even in prosperous countries, genetic errors, unwise diets, and environmental contaminants can block the enzymes you need to metabolize essential nutrients.
L-Tryptophan is the essential nutrient from which serotonin is made. L-Tryptophan is not a drug and works by feeding the biochemical pathways that keep you alive. In contrast to designer chemicals, L-Tryptophan occurs naturally in your diet, and a healthy body is born with the ability to process L-Tryptophan without side effects.
Dozens of research papers demonstrate that supplemental L-Tryptophan increases serotonin levels in the brain. Less well-known, though, is the fact that only a small percentage of ingested L-Tryptophan goes along your brain serotonin pathway. Increasing that percentage even a small

Dozens of research papers demonstrate that supplemental L-Tryptophan increases serotonin levels in the brain. Less well-known, though, is the fact that only a small percentage of ingested L-Tryptophan goes along your brain serotonin pathway.
Increasing that percentage even a small amount can provide a dramatic boost to your brain serotonin levels. A simple boost in serotonin may help many experience restful sleep and brighter, happier moods than they have enjoyed in years.*
For the scientists among you, inside the serotonin producing neuron, L-Tryptophan works with a coenzyme, abbreviated BH4, to form the well-known 5-Hydroxy L-Tryptophan (5-HTP). This is the first step in the L-Tryptophan to serotonin pathway.
Well funded researchers in university laboratories have found that BH4 actually increases the flow down the serotonin pathway. Although it doesn't take much BH4, the astronomical cost of $4 million per kilogram keeps BH4 far out of the reach of nutritional supplements. Fortunately, our research shows that a combination of precursors can provide the building-blocks for BH4 at a far more affordable price.
The second step to serotonin production requires vitamin B6, but not just any common chemicalform of vitamin B6 can do the job. Serotoninproducing enzymes can only use the true, natural form of vitamin B6, pyridoxal 5-phosphate (P5P).
And while pure P5P costs far less than $4 million per kilogram, it still is twelve (12) times more expensive than the chemical form of vitamin B6 (pyridoxine HCl) typically found in nutritional supplements.
Although a process that takes place in the liver, called phosphorylation, can convert limited amounts of the chemical-form to the natural form of vitamin B6, knowledgeable researchers have voiced concern that pyridoxine HCl may actually block the benefits of the true form of vitamin B6, possibly leading to vitamin B6 deficiency symptoms, such as the peripheral neuropathy sometimes seen after prolonged large doses of the synthetic form of vitamin B6.
In short, the right combination of cofactors and coenzymes drives the conversion of L-Tryptophan to serotonin. But, we always believe we can do better. Very recent research shows that the widely used herbal extract, curcumin, a bright yellow extract from the turmeric root that is used in curry, also helps to spare serotonin and slow its breakdown into inactive metabolites. Curcumin, then, may help to maintain and protectthe serotonin generated by other targetedingredients in L-Tryptophan Complete.
Just to give a brief overview, many times the claim is made that an L-Tryptophan product meets USP standards. Although USP is a purity standard commonly used in the United States, the USP standard and has not changed significantly for decades.
Another point that rarely gets much notice is the cosmetic reworking of amino acids to make them appear "pure". There are milling and whitening procedures that often are applied just to make amino acids and other nutritional ingredients sparkle and have that bleached, pure look. Manufacturers know that consumers often judge by appearances, but what they do not know is that reworking can actually degrade the quality of an ingredient.
If a crystalline ingredients has never been "flattened" to give that shine, you end up with a fluffier material that takes up more space in a capsule. In turn, this makes the encapsulation process much slower and more labor intensive. In the end, though, you have not introduced contaminants simply for cosmetic reasons.
Because L-Tryptophan is essential, no other amino acid, vitamin, mineral, herb or designer chemical can take its place, and L-Tryptophan is routinely added to baby food and hospital IV solutions, where it is essential for growth and life.
Furthermore, plasma amino-acid profiles of patients, along with the extensive analysis of foods common to the American diet done by Dr. Charles Jarowski and colleagues, demonstrate that L-Tryptophan typically is the amino acid most lacking in our diet.
Whether you are worn out by the common stresses of this world, or whether you suffer from an unrecognized amino-acid imbalance, we believe L-Tryptophan Complete is the best, and most natural choice for raising your serotonin levels.
Feel better, sleep better. Be at peace in body, mind and spirit.
"I have been taking L-Tryptophan for my great difficulty with sleeping for at least 20 years. I am a 90 year-old man and have been purchasing your L-Tryptophan and your True B6 "P5P" since 1997. I would like to say you have a very good firm to deal with.
My doctor had recommended L-Tryptophan for me to take at night, 2 capsules before bedtime every evening. For one thing, L-Tryptophan is an all natural product that is non-addictive. I am a strong believer in L-Tryptophan!
I have been recommending your company and the L-Tryptophan for years to my friends as well as my family. My children, as well as my grandson, use your company's L-Tryptophan. It helped my grandson when he was going through a very nervous period in his life. After using this supplement he was able to sleep, it calmed his nerves and he was able to study. I am a CPA, and my son who is also a CPA uses your L-Tryptophan during tax season when it is very stressful. He says he is as good as new thanks to this product!
I have heard L-Tryptophan has been around for 100 years, and I will continue to use it indefinitely."

We believe that a guarantee should be simple, and we genuinely hope that all our products will benefit your family's health and help you live a more abundant life. If for any reason one of our products does not meet your expectations, simply return the unused portion within 365 days of your purchase for a full refund of the purchase price - minus shipping and handling. Limit one opened bottle per product.
Thank you,L-Tryptophan Complete contains essential cofactors and coenzymes that are known to optimize L-Tryptophan pathways. Brought to you by Lidtke Technologies.
At Lidtke we are serious about OVI's (Organic Volatile Impurities). OVI's are chemical solvents such as acetone, toluene, ether and hexane that are frequently used in manufacturing. Consumers, in fact, would be amazed how often such solvents are used in the manufacturing of "natural" products.
Solvent residues are a frequent contaminant of low-cost nutrients, thanks to the increasing importation of cheap, raw materials. And, except in rare cases, no government agency tests food supplements before they reach the public.
In the natural-food field, quality operates on the honor system, and penny-counting manufacturers have long known they can dramatically reduce their expenses by minimizing purification steps that would remove OVI's. If you have not been serious about OVI's, be assured we are!
